Mine are:

1.Having to deal with Japanese-made games with English word dubbing (the fact that I can't change it back to Japanese dialogue with English subs) 2.Supposedly having the greatest thing of all in the game, but ending up getting something that sucks. (Completing a Pokedex only gives you a certificate saying you did. It made me so angry...)

Timed Levels. Bad Cameras. Annoying Cutscenes you can't skip. Not being able to save where and wenever you want. RPG'S where every second an enemy appears.

HMPF. :[

Bad camera angles definitely. There's nothing like a camera shift during a platform jump that makes you want to break your controller. Seriously, blind jumping in platforms are incredibly frustrating.

Cheesy English dubbed voice acting, especially in Sonic and anime games.

The tedious leveling up after reaching a high level in a RPG.

Typing letters using a controller. These made writing letters on the Gamecube version of Animal Crossing aggravating.

That's all that I can think of at the moment. xD

-Some games where you need to go to an event in order to get something awesome. (I'M TALKING ABOUT POKEMON.)

-Horrible camera views. I hate getting killed because I can't control the camera and can't see the enemy.

-Battles like the Hydra one in KH2. Yeah, running around with the vibrator shaking like crazy because of that Hydra bastard flipping the fuck out with Phil shouting ''GET UP ON THE HYDRA'S BACK'' makes me want to punch my TV.

-Games where it is hard to save and there is no quicksave. I hate when I have to go, but I don't want to walk ALL THE WAY BACK to a save point.

-Small inventories. I'm greedy so small inventories make me sad... :unheart:

-RPGS where the main doesn't say anything except 'yes' or 'no'.

-UNDERWATER LEVELS. END OF STORY.

-Ridiculous puzzles with no good hints.

-Dungeon games where if you die, you lose items, money and experience or just go back to the title screen. glares at pokemon mystery dungeon and Persona 3/4 P3/4 is a good game, I just hate going super far in a dungeon and getting owned by Hama or Mudo. DX

-Annoying support characters that serve no purpose other than state the obvious and bug you at the worst times. Fuuka from Persona 3 is an example. Yes, I know there are 5 enemies. Yes, I know the Akihiko was hit down. Yes, I know that Yukari just got pwned. Yes, I know that it's weak to fucking zio. She's not a bad character, it's just all the stupid stuff she says annoys me in EVERY BATTLE to no end.

-Looping dungeons or rooms. D':

-Annoying music where just one short tune loops over and over again.

-LONG TUTORIALS THAT YOU CAN'T SKIP, DEAR GOD.

-Games where you need to sneak past enemies (Had a horrible experience with one of the old GBA Harry potter games. o_o)

-Bad voice actors.

-Ridiculous fan service. (I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU HAUNTING GROUNDS WITH YOUR EXTRA CHARACTER COSTUME AND JIGGLE BOOBS)

-Having partners controlled by the computer do stupid crap. I'm talking about Persona 3. DX God damn it. Luckily they realized it and gave you the option to control them in Persona 4. ''OH HAY, UR DYING! QUICK, I'LL USE A STAT BOOSTER INSTEAD OF HEAL YOU!'' ''NO, USING THE SAME SPELL 5 TIMES IS BETTER THAN JUST USING ONE SPELL THAT HITS THEM ALL.''

-Games where it's a pain in the arse to get a decent amount of money.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I also hate it when a game just brings you back to the menu after you beat the last boss and get the ending. :/ Regardless of the ending, it doesn't give me much freedom to do what I want unless I start the game over...

Bad Camera Angles

Lack of Freedom.

Idiotic NPC's where if they die you Fail.

Walking, And waking, and walking and walking and walking and walking. x_x

Background noises that are repetitive and annoying

When you beat the game it goes right back to when you beat the boss, Kinda like the lack of freedom peeve.

long loading times, but my pet peeve is the same as stijn's. I hated the fact that I couldn't skip cutscenes in kingdom hearts I. The first time was ok, but after fifteen dozen times hearing it it got very old. I was so glad when they allowed you to just skip cut scenes in KHII.

Oh and spelling out things with the controller. The name of my raft on KHI in that one island level keeps on being excalibur because I never figure out how to make the darn letters work and always end up hitting the wrong buttons.

  • Bad or annoying camera angles to choose between (I'm looking at you, Neverwinter Nights), fixed camera - anything at all that makes it impossible to have the camera angle I want.

  • RPGs which try to make it seem like you have more than one choice when you really don't (like Morrowind), like when the only options are "Yes, honored master, I will do anything you ask forever because I'm an angel" or "No damn way, do your own dirty work, biatch". Seriously - that's not roleplaying. It's yes-no questions made to look more fancy. Also, without fail, 'yes' makes you a good person and 'no' makes you a bad person. I hate it.

  • Unskippable cutscenes, especially when combined with having to watch the same cutscene ten million times because you can't save the damn game after seeing it the first time!

-Bad camera angles in a 3-D fighting game. -SNK Boss Syndrome: The boss is so overpowered that you don't have a frickin' prayer. See: Rugal, Goenitz, Orochi, Krizalid, Zero, Mukai, and Magaki. And Geese. (Yes, I know I went really game specific there.) -Bad camera angles when you're racing. -How that other driver ALWAYS runs you into a wall and you can never run them into anything no matter how much better your car is. NEED FOR SPEED I'M LOOKING AT YOU. -nthing/infinity-ing the "Trade to evolve pokeymanz" sentiment. I want a damn Machamp without trading damnit. -Unnecessary tutorials (NOT JUST IN POKEYMANZ. HAY GROSSBERG/MIA/KRISTOPH/MAGGEY, I DON'T NEED A REFRESHER COURSE ON HOW TO PRESENT MY EVIDENCE AND YELL OBJECTION. Or to press the witness.)

Current HA: TFP Starscream.

Bad Cameras OMFG I'm looking at you Guild Wars. Do NOT frickin move the screen while I'm moving so I can't see my player but in front of my player and then when I click the zoom out button you wait a fricken hour before actually zooming out

Weak NPC's that cause you to lose if they die

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, this is you. Why make me bring a lvl 2 to a dungeon that requires lvl 20 to live?

Will add more.

  • Poor balance. I hate when certain classes are just completely useless.

  • Games with a lot of spelling errors. It's fine if it's a game that was made in another country though.

  • Grinding. D: I can't stand killing the same thing over and over and over with little to no point to it.

  • Games that have no instructions...or an incredibly long tutorial. Either one's bad.

  • Bad community. I hate when a game is SOO good, but it's ruined by noobs, griefers, and botters.

  • Annoying sounds. Some of the pokemon are just...cringe.

  • Single player games that don't have tools for mods. All the awesome ones should have a modding community :D

  • Absent, corrupt, or stupid GMs in an mmorpg.

IMHO the one thing that no game should EVER have is when you can't skip a cutscene. This is what ruined FF7 Crisis Core for me, before a boss there's a 5-minute long cutscene and if you die (The boss is quite strong so you WILL die) you are forced to wait 5 more minutes of characters talking.

There's a lot... Monsters that spawn at random in caves and water - Seriously, there is no need for that. -.-;; That's what put me off Pokemon.

Bad camera angles/Cameras you can't control - As pretty as the wall is, looking at it isn't helping me. Sorry scenery designers.

Small inventories - Hatehatehate them. I want more room, dammit!

Annoying CPU party members that don't do anything - That's self-explanitory. -.-;;

Cutscenes every two seconds - Okay, some cutscenes are nice, but seriously game, why? Why do I only get to walk around for less than a minute and then a stupid, pointless, annoying cutscene pops up. ;-;

Slow running characters - It takes you forever to get anywhere.

No save points/not very many savepoints - I'm a paranoid saver, I need to save, NAO!

Lack of Jump. Cut-Scenes. Useless quests to progress through the game. Bad V/O's. Though sometimes, they do make me laugh. Stupid Requirements to fully complete a game/repetitive. Characters that should be helping you, but end up making you die.

QFT. That just sums it up right there. xD But of course, there are others.

  • Not being able to skip cutscenes. Yes, I know Riku, that keyblade unlocks the heart. And okay Tidus, I don't need to hear any of your corny bullshit. And yes Persephone, I understand that this is my end as a Spartan.
  • Terrible camera angles. -kicks several PS1 games-
  • LAG. LAG. LAG. -shakes Dynasty Warriors-
  • God awful loading times. I could've probably taken a nap between every world in Spryo: Enter the Dragonfly.
  • That noise that happens every time you're close to death. WEE WOO. WEE WOO. SHUT UP SORA AND ALL MY AILING POKEMON.

I hate it when something comes up you have to solve and there was no clue or anything on what to do. That is freaking annoying. So then you have to trek back through the whole level to find some stupid handle or something and stick it where it goes which you also need to find. What the hell.

Sorry if some of these have already been mentioned - I haven't read everyone's:

  • A lack of save points. I remember this was especially annoying when I was younger and it was bedtime, with my mum threatening to turn off the console unless I find a save in the next 5 minutes :(

  • English-speaking voice actors for Japanese games. Why do they always sound so fucking retarded.

  • Not having the ability to skip long/boring cut scenes when you've already seen them for the 18th time.

  • FPSs where it takes you ages to turn around. Not helpful when someone is ploughing bullets into your spine.

  • when you're playing a game and attempting to not kill pedestrians, but they keep diving in the way of the gunfire/your vehicle like suicidal idiots.

Have you ever played any of the mainstream Tales games? They're Japanese in origin, and the VAs for Symphonia 1 and Abyss were pretty great. Phantasia had terrible VAs, but it's a GBA game with a crap translation, but what can we do? :P

Although, some of the new VAs for the returning cast for Symphonia 2 were terrible (although Genis and Raine got off okay). Maybe I'm just ruffled because my favorite playable character got a horrid VA, while his original ToS1 did an amazing job. sdkfsdjf. /rant
