Me and my friend wanted to get new hairstyle's since ours are getting old. I have curly hair which is black on the top and at it goes down it gets dark brown. We were looking at scene hair...were freaks XD but I don't know what I want to get. My mom said i could get something like that, But she has to see it, and how much teasing is needed for the hair-do. Will some of you guy's give me some idea's for hair?

Just look on Myspace or Google "scene hair"?

I do all the time, I'm trying to find something thats not to crazy, I already have some idea's but there might be some that are hiding. I'm not sure what I really want and how big it should be. Post pictures? P.s I do need a hair straightener.

You could always take in some pictures that you like and talk to the hairdresser about it, and that you don't want it so "crazy," I'm sure they could figure something out. Isn't a lot of scene hair mostly just teasing/hair spray anyway, not the cut itself?

As said you should talk to your hairdresser. Bring a picture of basically what you want and talk her/him through the exceptions. I cannot stress how important it is to watch everything they do and talk to them and tell them exactly what you want. D:

Yes and no. A lot of teasing is required, BUT it also has to be cut a specific way as well. :P

well lots of girls just get their hair layered with a fringe in the front and then straighten it every day, and they pass for "scene".

You only need to tease it if you want it to stand up, the thicker and longer you hair is, the more teasing you would have to do (and then you add a shetload of hairspray and stuff).

if you want some crazy colors, you need to bleach the part you want to color first, and then you can usually find ColorFiend at hot topic. ColorFiend works well and it washes out after a few showers. So if you decide you don't like the color, your not stuck with it or anything. I also like ManicPanic, but the colors turn funky after a while sometimes.

ps. if you straighten your hair, it's best to use a ceramic iron because they don't damage your hair as much as traditional ones. A good brand to look at is CHI.

Your best bet is probably to have a scene kid cut your hair themself. Actual cosmotoligist-school hair dressers aren't going to do it right. That's why scene kids cut their own hair. And that's the cheep way.

You're going to have to flatten and do your hair every day, btw. Not too much teasing unless you want it to be really big, usually. Teasing and flattening your hair every day destroys it, by the way. Also bleaching, incase you're going to do that, too.

I go to the hair dresser to get my hair straightened and thats it, and thats why im looking for a new style and they do use the CHI, which im in love with, so im looking into getting that for my hair and I think I do want to die my hair a few colors but they would have to be light, because my hair i dark and has natural dark red highlights in my hair
