Earlier I had this really cool idea that would basically mean that no avatar would ever look similar to another one...or at least the chances would become very slim.

I thought about each clothing item having a base colour. You could either use the base colour or you could open up a colour tab with a spectrum of colours on it (rather like the one on Adobe Photoshop) and choose a colour from there. No one would ever have to mis-match their colours again!

Obviously, it would mean there'd be only one set of item instead of many (as in no red-t-shirt, blue t-shirt etc) but it would be less for us to buy :P

It will never work. This is obvious. But it's cool to think about. What weird thoughts and ideas have YOU had for avatars just lately?

She did say though she knew this would never work. She isn't thinking about herself she just said this was a cool idea. And it is a cool idea. It just wouldn't work well with subeta's wardrobe system due to the sheer amount of man power it wold be required to put this out.. XD

Of course. And that's why I know it would never work. And why I haven't been silly enough to suggest it in the suggestion center. Just imagine the uproar that could cause amongst the artists :P

It would be cool....but you're right, very impractical. It's nice to dream though :)

it'd be interesting if they released one or two items that you could do that with as DPs/cash shop items, but yeah, would never work :) (although if you've got photoshop and lots of patience/free time, you can do it your self, you just couldn't wear it on your actual HA)

If it was possible for the Hair Salon why not with the clothes? ;)

HIT, you just gave me an idea...

SO we have (will have) the Hair Salon to make common Hairstyles unique, right? Yes. We can't ask to get such a system for the regular clothes of course, because, like it was mentiones above, all the money people spent on the color-variations would be wasted and they would not get it back. Also it would be rude against the artists who put a lot of affort into the different colors.

BUT, what about Subeautique Clothes? There are no color variations of those, right? So it would be very interesting if we could change these clothes. Of course it should be that they where personal for our own use, not 'sellable' and it should cost a little more then the hair salon of course. But I think this feature would find a lot of friends, or am I wrong? There are a lot of very pretty Tique items I'd love to use more often, but I can't because their shades are off :( I think this would be possible like the Hair Salon is possible...

Now THAT idea could work. I like that idea a lot. You're absolutely right about the shades often being off. It sucks when that happens.

I know ^^ But since Tique items are not the only unique ones, MCT items are too I think there should be the difference. So the Tique items would be more special since they where the only ones we could change the color for... wow, I really fell in love with this idea XD Though it'll propably never happen but still... would be very interesting ^^

That kind of reminds me of gaia in a way too, how in one item you can have multiple poses.

Of course, with the system set up now it would take ages and people would have to get something as compensation if they had multiple colors of an object.

I personally like the way it is now, though I wouldn't mind held items having multiple poses. Gloves would be nice too (wear only one on your left or right hand or on both). That's the one (and to be honest, only) thing gaia has over subeta avatar creation.

Wouldn't that take all the fun out of trying to match that new item you got, and the sense of pride you get when you finish? Nice thought though. :)
