I wasn't really sure where to post this but I'd love all the help I could get.

I'm going to buy an HP laptop, the G70t series, and it's asking me which vista I would like

Windows Vista Home Basic with Service Pack 1 (32-bit) Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit) Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (32-bit)

I'm not sure which one to go with, I've heard the Premium 32-bit can make the PC run slow but the 62-bit fixes that problem but then I'm not even sure if I need premium.

I'm buying the laptop for college and really I just want something that runs well but having the extra features would be nice but I don't want to spend too much if I don't need to.

i'd totally do a google search for reviews on the product. it's really your best source for a wide range of opinions.

I was actually able to get a hold of a friend that knows about these kind of things, she said that they both take up memory but the 64 bit runs better and would just be worth it in the long run.

So I think I'll just go with the 64 bit.

Just make sure that you really want/need to get it now - Windows 7 should be out soon, and I've got the beta. It's basically the beauty of Vista plus the greatness of XP, so check the release date and see if you can/want to wait for 7's release first. c:
