I jsut dont get it - they think subeta is hijacking neopets to get more ppl over here -that is crazy

Its because Subeta dot org was taken over and is now a mirroring site of Neopets. It will take your password, eat it, and steal everything on your account. Its their own fault if they can't go to the proper website to log into Neopets.

At least, thats what Im thinking the problem you are referring to is. The mirroring site doesn't just effect IE either.

Yea now their emailing the address to everyone and telling them not to come here. I tried telling them it's the wrong site thats got that on but, meh. And from the sounds of it most of them have never been on another site and are worried that they will get bored and start surfing. Wow

xD Never use the .org site; the fact that it looks like Neo and not Subeta should give that away lol

It was okay to be using either the .net or .ws sites, but the .ws seems to have vanished =/ I was all like ''Hey! I was using that!'' lol

But yeah - always check that the URL's are compatible with whatever site you look like you're logging into; that's a very old scam.

It would probably help if the logos on the real site didn't all say subeta.net :P But I don't particularly mind weeding out a good chunk of people from Neopets xD

But they're newbies who just switched over from Neo, they might not know that .org got hacked.

They should realize that by the layout subeta.net=/=subeta. Why would you even login to that? Just because they're newbies doesn't necessarily mean they're stupid.

And I don't have to worry about being hack that way, I was hacked already about 5 months ago........

While I was on Neopets, I noticed a strange hatred of Subeta there. Like, people on Neopets always thought that Subeta is out to get them or something. Even people who weren't stupid who saw subeta.net thought that's just what Subeta is - a site just trying to pull shit on Neopets players, not realizing that Subeta is completely different and separate from Neopets. Really, how would anyone know unless they already know Subeta? I came from Neo, but I was linked to the .net site. Had I gone to .org, I probably wouldn't have given Subeta a chance, because that would have been what I saw, and what I thought Subeta was. So if people are only seeing subeta.net, you can understand why they think what they think. How would they know it's really subeta.net?

but to see the image they still would have had to find subeta.net and they likely would have figured something was up all on their own.

Personally, if I typed in Subeta.org, and expected to log into subeta, but was ''redirected'' to a Neopets page... I wouldn't log in. Simply because it wasn't neopets I was looking for...

It seems fairly straight forward to me... lol
