I want something elegant [yes, elegant] to go across my chest and/or lower back. I thought about birds, because they're pretty and simple looking, but I'm not that sure, really.

And yes, I want to really think about this before I go ahead and do it, because... Yeah, I'm going to be stuck with the fucker for life.

So, what I ask of you is this; What tattoo have you seen that looks really nice? What would look good on the chest/lower back?

Good luck, designing a tattoo can be a very stressful thing. I have a tattoo of a star on my lower back. I think I redesigned and rethought it a hundred times before I settled on the single star. My thoughts behind it were to start very simple and I know that it's a design I would never get sick of. I thought that if I wanted to expand on it I would in a couple years I could.

Three years later and I still love it. It's in a great place, besides the stigma of it being a "tramp stamp" but everyone that knows me knows I am far from being a tramp. I am thinking of adding to it actually, but I am so indecisive it hurts!

I know, it's awful trying to decide, because I don't want to rush out and get the first thing that comes to mind. I want to decide and then keep the design in mind to make sure I really like it. So difficult!

But I like the simple thing, so I could expand on it later on if I want. That's a really good idea, in fact, I'll do that. It seems better than getting some massive tattoo that I end up hating because it looks awful.
