Yeah, advertising items is fun, or not? Making money is fun too. And buying... lots of fun if you don't fall over something like this.
A new thread that opened. Lots of items for sale and then this:
ALREADY SOLD : List of several items here.
WHAT THE FUCK? HOW can you have something in this section if you just opened your damn selling board?? It annoys the shit out of me.
Dear people who are doing this: If you copy your old selling board, DELETE THOSE ITEMS! It's annoying. It's like: HAHA RIGHT IN UR FACE, SUCKER!
Even having this option is stupid. Who cares what you have sold already? People are not interested in already sold items, they want to buy the ones that are left.
Yes, I know there was a board about this a while ago, but it still bugs me like hell.
It's my rant and I'm pissed. This is B and C and that's why this place exists. Don't tell me I should not look at these boards then, it's everywhere!
Ohyes. I agree. It's annoying at how you click on a board where it says "DISCOUNT - 50% off" and like most of the items are like sold already. :x

I have to disagree. If I put items in the title and they sold, I put them in the sold section so people don't come to my board ask for them. That's what that section is for.

Alex, THAT is fine. If you are advertising a Glade Potion and saying that you alredy sold it I don't have any problem with that (for example). But a board with a title like
Selling a lot of items for discounts!
doesn't need this. It's a slap in the face of people to show them what items they missed. Especially on NEW boards. a NEW board doesn't need to show items they already sold in a sooner board, or am I wrong?
That IS stupid. I'm okay with people opening a 'Sold' section in an existing board, where they've actually sold a few items.. Sure, it helps to keep track etc., etc... But opening a new board and already having a 'Sold' section is pointless and annoying. JUST REMOVE IT, LAZY-ASS!
Seriously. Don't do that.
Megabucks: Sure some people sMail them, but they just CAN'T sell anything within 1 minute the board is existing. That's impossible.
And why creepy? xD I think it's funny :P
I think seeing what they sold is silly - especially when they argue about prices saying they need the sp and yet there are 20+ items in the already sold area...
I'm not saying that they don't have the right to stick to a price and indeed everybody has goals and every right to save for them - but it losses the power behind an argument for me to see the items listed there....
And if it's because the items are listed in their title - just don't list the items - I'm more tempted to click on witty boards anyways :P
Not true. Anytime I open a board I ask irc at the same time and you would be surprised how many items sell that way. Of course, I'm giving my friends supa frienz discount.
I always used a sold section, people are in heavy competition over in the selling forums. They will do anything to get someone to click on a thread.
:/
I hate that too. I can't think of any possible reason for someone to do that (excluding items that you list in your board title), because if you already sold the item, why does it need to be in your thread? So people looking for something can go "Damn, if only I had gotten here earlier!"? I just don't get it.
Well Roxy, I have no experiences with IRC, nor will I ever have. But it's very interesting to browse older threads of those people seeing that they have exactly the same items in the Sold-Section as they have in the new thread :x
Spooky, that's exaclty it, I don't get it either ._.
As far as I can tell, it's just something that people do because everyone else is doing it.
I actually don't mind that -too- much. If somebody's sold a few good items, it might indicate they're a good restocker and makes me more likely to look out for them in the advertisting forum.
We move against the tide.

I completely understand why people have that section. There are many people that make boards and I know I personally continuously run across ones that I'm not thrilled with what they have. If that's the case, I'm less likely to click on their future threads. I try to find users who have sold items I was interested in sometime in the past.
So by that theory, if someone sells a lot of their items and they have just a few things left that are of no interest to me, but they have a sold section that has items of interest I'm more likely to look at their future boards.
