Recently MCAB, and the god weapons lost a bit of their collective heal. What was once 10-12% is now a mere 5-8%, or in MCAB's case 8% constant. This probably has a lot of you upset.. which is understandable because where you only once needed one healer, you now might need two. Also it might simply be intimidating or bleakly hopeless to notice that now people can swing... but this isn't the case.
I'll explain:
Now since you have healers that don't take up the healer spot, you can equip a god weapon with something packing a higher heal... 'frinstance Turkey Quill or RiWOD (dunno if the heal's been changed or not so don't hold me to that 100%). Adding to this mix, you can equip both P-quill and Reviver of the Lion together in the same set... which ultimately may lead to you not even needing a healer constant at all.
More importantly to point out, god Weapons are averaging like... 37-53 icon hits, Malice is hitting for 50-64, Ether is a 54 straight up I believe. 2 Malice, or 2 Ether is simply going to hit consistantly harder all the time... and adding Malice's collective reflect to the ordeal gives them 100-200% Dark AND light reflect. Add Shrine of the Azagga and you're getting 150-250% reflect on both. God weapons have pretty nasty reflects, but it's only of one icon type.
Now going back to general battle... being able to equip P-quill and Reviver is insanely powerful, this might also even work if you throw a Ring in there too. Strategies are nowhere near what they use to be. Now you can pack a healer scroll, 2 Malice, and 2 90-100% heals or so and probably not even need the healer scroll. You can pack one or two god weapons/ hard hitting healers and a scroll, or even pack a constant healer combo that negates the need for a scroll period. This is the same for stealers and P-quill type healers... there are ways to negate them out of the situation. I'd even go as far as to say you can now use the healers in place of STS or Vortex... and this is even if you don't have a blackmoons warplate.
I'm probably rambling, it's late and I haven't slept yet... but the important thing I'm trying to stress now is that finally you're capable of using a P-quill type set as opposed to a constant healer... something that oldbies from 3-4 years back wanted but only got ahold of when Legendaries were doing 2-80 icons. There is so much diversity and balance in the system now that you probably won't even begin to know what to expect in a fight, or just what your opponent's going to be packing in their set. Hell, if the rescaling of damage per icon goes through you might not even need a FREEZER. On that same token, Winter spirit spells are a 70% freeze and you could use them in a pro-healer set without the need for a a scroll, and go for a chain-freeze strategy too.

in the end, basically, if you packed hundreds of millions in weapons, be ready to spend two times that to be happy again. But you know what I think Icabod. It can turn highly interesting if you're able to buy dual god sticks, malices, ethers. Because I wasn't really seeing the point of having to upgrade mcab to Tquill.. anyway. this might change next month and I by then I'll have invested even more money and time
(Because text affects the width of your signature, we suggest testing with all text removed to be sure your width is correct.)
I didn't mean to upgrade it to T-quill though, they should both be equippable together now, along with other decently higher healers. As it comes to investing sP into battle... unfortunately that's just the way the game goes. I've had a lot of items I've bought in the past change or become outrated by a new weapon or changed and thusly became entirely useless for my setup, but I've had good times with those experiences too.
YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
You seem to be under the impression that these 'god weapons' have to be the best simply because they are the rarest. Flawed logic right there.
I think the 'problem' you are talking about, lack of tactic because there are so many items you can toss together to get a good set, is that battle weapons keeping being added and added, or upgraded, yet there is no real battle system to speak of that these weapons can be built around.
Which brings us back to the BC being completely ignored by staff. (With the exception of .)
That said, isn't not knowing what to expect from your opponent an incentive to be inventive and come up with all purpose tactics? Not that any of this even matters because 2 player battles are broken and probably won't be fixed in a hella long time.
The problem with the BC is that the people who use it are only a select few, and the things you are complaining about affect even a smaller number of people than the general suck of the BC.
Most people can't even afford the stuff you mention in here. It's like the super rich complaining that the Bugati Veyron drives faster than the McLaren F1. Trivial shit.
Icabod is one the very few that ISNT complaining about the changes. LOL
I'm not even sure you know what you are talking about stijn, nor what is happening right now
(Because text affects the width of your signature, we suggest testing with all text removed to be sure your width is correct.)
Well it's trivial to everybody except for those who put that much effort into getting them, I can understand why people are upset over it. Also Keith and Aaron have been working on putting together the old BC, which'll be easier and faster than the recode... still might take a while longer than people want to wait, but I do believe since most of the coding is still there it probably won't take forever.
Now with all that being said... I think the biggest problem is that people take a bit longer to adjust than I usually do on average. I'm horrendously happy with the new setup, and I've seen a lot of advantage and strategic ground being made. If you're thinking that I'm complaining, Stijn, you may want to read over the post again ;)... I'm personally advocating that people try to see the good side of this switch.

yeah it's great for the what, 1% of battlers who can afford more than one god weapon, but it'll make them even harder to get for the rest of us who can't even afford one.
but, whatever, change after change after change just kind of makes me indifferent to changes anymore. they're not worth getting upset about because they are sure to change again ...
Thats where I'm at. I use to be really passionate about battling and then the changes and downgrades started. There's not a damn thing I can do about it but take the loss. At first some of us tried. Obviously it didn't work. Now I just shake my head and go do something else.
I wish I hadn't wasted so much on my O'staff.
Our Lair is proof you don't have to stand face to face to know you've got friends who stand with you when you need us.
Mni wiconi -- water is life
but...thats where hard work and persistancy comes in...IF you want it bad enough
JMHO :)

sure, but why bother when you're just gonna get shafted yet again when the whim strikes aaron to change it next?
I think a lot of changes in the new BC will make these sort of changes make sense.
Once the new BC is out, we are going to lower icons on all weapons, across the board. Less damage output from every single weapon, is the plan.
💖 ✨ 🤗
I'm with Icabod on this. Being able to equip multiple healers is amazing and makes up for the small heal loss on godlies. But now the combinations and possibilities are pretty much endless. You don't need two godlies to make the new setup work ;)
I think so many weapons doing 50-60 icons calls for a little less icons if there's going to be critical hits. I feel like in the new BC it won't be such brute force battling. Plus they need to be able to create new weapons that are actually useful amongst all these XD
just keeps happening is what's pissing most of us off. pick a freaking stat and stick with the damn thing. these constant changes and revisions are bullshit.
maybe get a small group together to play test ideas beforehand instead of implementing them only to discover it doesn't work the way you thought and change them again and again and again and .....
This IS a small group. The reason I created the other board was so that we could discuss situations like this. I'm giving everyone in the battle community and beyond to have input in these changes.
Sp what happens to the weapons like the STS and such that look like they will be useless or we can't even equip them due to so many healers or stealers and attackers
Also if I was challenging Sagg or another challenger, I can't really equip a ton of healers as I need to attack Sagg. I'd need defense, heal, blasters maybe and stealers and an attacker depending on what Sagg has.
I'm a bit disappointed that the heal has been reduced in the god weapons. People earned these god weapons by a heap of hard work either via the RS War or saving sp and now they kinda not worth what they were. Having to get one god weapon is a HUGE achievement in itself, let alone buying two:o
There are too many weapons out there, it's overwhelming really
Thank you [Kiss=smilesnz] [Dance=smilesnz] [Flower=smilesnz]
No they won't cause those of us who spent Millions, hundreds of millions constanly get shafted by stats being changed. I am near saying fuck it all together, in the past year stats on to many weapons have been downgraded then upgrade then fucked with again and again.
[Quote]You feel... strange[BR] OH NO. It appears that you've angered one of the residents of Shadowglen and they attacked you! [BR]You might want to get that checked out...[/Quote]
Shinwas Temple Shard's use hasn't really changed. There's just more options out there to make it somewhat go down in usage...still useful by all means, though.
People don't have to buy ANOTHER god weapon just to have a great battle set. There are tons of other options out there. With tons of weapons out on the market, it creates tons of other uses for them. They are not a necessity to win.
Ok that's good to know that the STS use hasn't changed, I think I will still be using mine:)
Yea but with the heal being reduced in each god weapon, doesn't it make having two god weapons give you an advantage as you get more heal? Soorry if I'm not getting this right, I trying to understand it all hehe
Thank you [Kiss=smilesnz] [Dance=smilesnz] [Flower=smilesnz]

I've posted time and time again that I'm open to suggestions as far as REASONABLE weapon suggestions go. These stats are not set in stone and are open for discussion (of course). Before complaining about them being omgtooweak or omgtoopowerful, post some suggestions. That's what the "State of the BC" topic was for. I've opened the floor for EVERYONE to have a say in creating a balanced battle system. Very rarely does anyone even try to suggest a change...you're more than welcome to. At least this way it'll keep the Battle boards more active and provoke more discussions.
