Artist Album Name

Female Vocals: After Forever Prison of Desire Decipher Invisible Circles Remagine After Forever

Epica The Phantom Agony Consign to Oblivion The Divine Conspiracy

Forever Slave Alice's Inferno Tales for Bad Girls (I've only listened to Alice's Inferno, but I'm assuming Tales for Bad Girls is just as good.)

Within Temptation Enter The Dance Mother Earth The Silent Force The Heart of Everything (The Silent Force and Heart of Everything albums lean more towards the goth rock/symphonic rock genre, but they are still great albums.)

Male Vocals: Avantasia The Metal Opera Pt. I The Metal Opera Pt. II The Scarecrow Lost in Space (Chapter 1 & 2) (The album title "The Metal Opera" doesn't really refer to the style of vocals, but more to the fact that it is a conceptual album written as an opera. However, Sharon Den Adel, the vocalist of Within Temptation, sings the part of Anna on two songs, so there are some operatics. ;))

Kamelot Eternity Dominion Siége Perilous The Fourth Legacy Karma Epica The Black Halo Ghost Opera

Scar Symmetry Symmetric in Design Pitch Black Progress Holographic Universe

Welcome to the obsessive world of Symphonic Metal. :) This is just what I have in my iTunes library, so I'd be happy to recommend more music if you're interested. Believe me when I say this is just the beginning.
