It does seem to be random. I received 2 promotions today but was also fired from 2 jobs. haha

I always get told he is grumpy and to go away. So its just random? nothing to do with stats of any sort? gah.

I think a higher intelligence means your more likely to the promotion. I'm certain though.

well my pet has read over 275 books but can't get higher than the 2nd promotion.

It seemed to me that it was easier to get a job with a pet with higher intelligence, but the promotions seemed totally random. One of my pets that only had read one book received something like 5 promotions in a row. I just kept asking for a promotion until they got fired, then applied for a new job and repeat. :)

Ah okay. I was like waiting a month or so lol figured there was some sort of waiting period. Gonna start asking every day now. haha!

Thanks for this information. It answers a lot of my questions.

i'm only up to 3 promotions. I think I need to work harder at it. The nice thing is that if you get fired you can just start over and you don't lose your progress. If they ever release one that requires you to hit a specific level then we may be in trouble.
