What is a hero? Why are we obsessed with them? What does not make a hero? Who is your hero? Why?
I'm trying to figure out some thoughts behind heroes.
What is a hero? Someone who repeatedly puts others before themselves. Who continuously goes the extra mile to improve someone else's life. They don't want financial gain/ popularity etc. except to see others benefit. Why are we obsessed with them? Because it takes a lot to be truly like that. What does not make a hero? Sports people, just for winning. Some however are heroes on the basis that they use time to benefit others. Who is your hero? I don't have a single hero. I see heroes on a daily basis and try my best to get them recognised. Why? Because they're never going to try to get themselves recognised.
What is a hero?: Someone who usually spends their time doing something good. People look up to them a lot for this. Why are we obsessed with them?: I don't really get what you mean, because some people aren't necessarily obsessed with their heroes. :o What does not make a hero?: Someone who is greedy and doesn't care about anyone else but themselves. Who is your hero?: My grandma. Why?: She survived through three different types of cancer and she's generally a nice, loving, strong woman. I look up to her for this and I want to be like her when I'm older.
My dad is my hero. He has lived a hard life but he never gives up. I also admire my grandmother. She was molested by her father when she was a little girl and had the courage to speak up.
What if someone does something wrong? Are they still a hero?
If yes, is being a hero one isolated instance?
If no, how many times can they falter?
Does America still have heroes?
What if someone does something wrong? Are they still a hero? Depends what they did and for what reasons.
If yes, is being a hero one isolated instance? No
If no, how many times can they falter? As many times as they depending on what they did and as long as it wasn't intentional. Also they shouldn't be repeating the same mistakes.
Does America still have heroes? Dunno, never been. I'd say yes though.
Would even one intentional, black mark make someone not be a hero?
i dont want to create controversy but Michael Jackson is my hero. He was an extremely generous and kind man.
in my opinion, appearance, status, and money do not make a heroes.
i think it's safe to say yes, unless someone can pose a situation where someone was considered a hero for something other than their virtues.
it's just my opinion. kids can take their favorite actor, the chick who won the hot dog eating contest, a cartoon character and say they're their hero.
it doesn't make them wrong because it's THEIR hero, but as for me, I have to ask, "what have they done for anyone? for the world?" things like that.
