I assume you're talking about the main games? I own Diamond and Platinum (sister has Pearl). Platinum is basically the same as Diamond and Pearl, but with extra features. So it's no doubt you should get Platinum.

I have Pearl, and it's a fun game, but I really want Pokemon Ranger. I know it's not like the main game, but it's sooo much fun until my mom sucked it up in the vacuum cleaner. ;3; I heard Platinum is a good one, but I'm good with Pearl. Platinum is kinda like Crystal and Emerald, from what I hear.

Pokemon Platinum all the way. ;D Everything is just smoother, and it looks better overall. You can rechallenge gym leaders later on, the elite 4 have changes in levels eventually, more pokemon are available, including Pearl's mascot, Palkia, and Diamond's mascot, Dialga.

For DS? Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2: Explorers of Darkness Pokemon Diamond Pokemon Pearl Pokemon Ranger 2 Pokemon Platinum ... I think that's all of them? What do I want... I'm not too sure, to be sure. I think they were all a joy to play (save the first one, that got a tedious eventually)

You could get Platinum, but I heard that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky is coming out soon. (:

Pokemon is so much fun. I have diamond, but I would recommend platinum since it has more features and pokemon (kinda like Emerald and Crystal).

And because you have a DS, you can play GBA games on them too, and for that would get Firered or Leafgreen; after all, they were remakes of the first games. Unfortunately, they don't make them anymore, so you have to buy a used copy :(

And you can't trade pokemon around the world...

I have Pokemon Diamond and Platinum. I also have Mystery Dungeon: Explorers Of Time.

I'm really not sure about Pokemon Ranger...I'm more of a trainer type than a control-as-I-go-along type... =/

And can't you also trade Pokemon from Emerald and such from the GBA slot on the DS?

Ah, really? So I think I'll buy a used game of Emerald and Ruby and get that done when I have the money.

I have Pearl, Platinum and Shadows of Almia. I like them all too. At first I though that Ranger would be boring until I realized how fun it actually is. I pretty much beat the game now... I got it on April 4, I only have like 2 more Pokemon to capture. lol Platinum is fun too because of the extra things, like the Distortion World... god its scary when playing it a midnight. D: I thought there was something in my house when I heard Giratina's cry.
