I was just wondering what is your opinion on yaoi...^_^; do you read/watch it or do you think its disgusting?
:D I love yaoi, long as it's not too hardcore lolz... now yuri on the other hand I could watch all day <3.... well if I didn't have a life xD

I personally have nothing against it, but it's not for me. I don't read, watch or go near anything yaoi. I think it's also started to get way overrated. :/ It's fine if you like it, but please don't shove it in my face. I don't shove my hetero couples in your face. okay some people do but still society has not advanced far enough yet to accept all these homo couples like hetero.
I love it, but only in canon.
Shipping annoys the crap out of me, so if a couple isn't gay in canon then I can't stand it.
It's overrated. In all honesty, it's not my thing, and it bothers me how so many girls fawn all over it.
Eh, if it's cannon, go right ahead. If not, just... no. I tend to avoid reading/watching anything that's strictly yaoi, but it's rather hard (and pointless) to compleately avoid it, especially with my group of friends.
To lazy to come up with an interesting forum text and sig. Bye!
I don't mind it at all. The fanart is cute. The fics can be tasteful and well written.
Though, I think there's only one or two yaoi couples I openly support. I guess I just haven't come across many anime or manga that have cannon hints towards a gay relationship.
It's just, I see so many people mush together two straight male characters constantly though. I don't really like that. I have a hard time picturing two guys together if they are thought otherwise to be straight. And that's usually when the untasteful stuff rolls in.
If it is canon, it's fine with me. I still avoid it even if it's canon.
But whatever floats your boat, just don't screw with my canon. If the author decided the character is straight, he's straight, if he's homosexual, he's homosexual.
Don't screw with their creations, if I was an author who saw my characters being misused in such a way, I'd probably get pissed.
But that's just in my opinion.
Love it xD Slightly more than half my favourite pairings in books, manga & anime are boy/boy.
I don't like yuri though :o Most girls don't.
I think it's gross. Most of my friends that like anime are into it or yuri though. I like the heterosexual pairings best. But whatever floats your boat.
There is no Shepard without Vakarian
I'm a fan of it, along with yuri. I don't tend to pick my reading material based on the genders involved in the relationships so much as the quality of the writing, although being being pretty queer myself I tend to be drawn more towards queer relationships.
I usually prefer more realistic portrayals of relationships, which are pretty rare especially in BL and yuri manga, but getting more common gradually.
The fanbase can be pretty intimidating, and I admit I've met some pretty annoying individuals, but for the most part they tend to be a lot friendlier than people outside the fanbase give them credit for (and certainly no scarier than het shippers).
I don't have much involvement in fan shipping, I'm mostly into original stuff with the exception of a few pairings in my favourite fandoms. I'm a very open-minded shipper, though - I like shipping anyone with a bit of chemistry together (or even characters with none at all just for laughs) regardless of genders. People who get in a flap over canon versus non-canon, characters' sexualities and OTPs are taking it too seriously in my opinion. I used to be like that, but being open to all possibilities turned out to be far more entertaining.
I stop to shonen-ai. I honestly can't stand yaoi/yuri/hentai =
