Earlier last year, I was accepted by the organization People to People to be a student ambassador. I am going to Japan for two weeks to learn about both the traditional and modern culture. I am like, REALLY FUCKING EXCITED for this trip, and I'm also excited that one of my best friends gets to go (we're in the same delegation). I have also met a lot of other cool people that are going. We're supposed to be going all around Japan, but we haven't exactly got an itinerary yet. I believe past years have been to Kyoto, Miyajima, Hiroshima, Gifu, and Tokyo, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, it should be fun. Packing has been absolutely hectic, time consuming, and boring. Glad that's over with.

So CC, are any of you going anywhere exciting soon, or have been anywhere exciting lately?

Ah! That's really amazing, I'm sure you'll have a great time! And yes, packing is shithouse boring, I've been doing it for my weekend away when I go visit my boyfriend in Birmingham. Not as exciting as Japan, but still exciting for me!

I really, really, REEEEEEEEALLY want to go to Barecelona again. I went a few years ago [ahaha, not that recent, I know] and it's was stupidly amazing. It was full of art culture and the weather was simply devine. Lovelovelove. ❤

Lovelovelove.

I've been out of state (California) 3 times, and that was once in some resort in Tahoe, once to see my sister when she lived in Reno, and once at my aunt's wedding in Vegas. In other words, I've been in 2 states my entire life. -_- So it would be interesting to see another side of the country, lol.

And Barcelona sounds absolutely amazing. A friend of mine (the same one that's going with me) got to go to England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and apparently ate chocolate for every meal. /random I checked the weather for a few major cities in Japan, and it's supposed to be raining practically everywhere. Not a bad thing until we hike Mt. Fuji or visit the hot springs. Then it would kinda suck.

England isn't as amazing as people make it out to be, really. I should know, as I've lived here sixteen years. London is amazing, though. I've been to Birmigham, Wales, Scotland [for like ten minutes, we were picking up a car], Devon, Cornwall... All over the place, really. Going to Barcelona was the first time properly abroad! I got to go in a plane, wheee.

And I don't eat chocolate for every meal. Although I tend to eat a lot of it, roflroflrofl.

Rain seems to plauge everything. Ahhh, Hot Springs. I really want to visit them. It'll be so relaxing. Just like in Pokemon! /geek. :']

Well that is just awesome :D I am spectacularly jealous! And that you're not just visiting Tokyo but getting out there a bit sounds even more fab :D

I am hoping to save so I can leave godforsaken England and tour the US. It's going to be at least six months before I get even close though. Shame as I have the travelling bug lurking in my veins right now.

She also said she blew all of her money on chocolate and ice cream. Then again, I'm not surprised. She can use an entire bottle of chocolate syrup to make a glass of chocolate milk.

Ahaha, America isn't all that amazing, unless you count an abundance of McDonalds and Starbucks as truly spectacular. But then again, no one finds their home country to be amazing, do they?

YOU'D BETTER BE. hahaha kidding. I think I might do that, actually. I'm going to keep a written journal/log thing of what I do each day, so I won't forget anything. =]

Lucky! C: I usually visit my day, but I'll probably be staying with him now. I've been everywhere around the US. D; It's too bad I've never been out of the country, but when I'm 18, I have decided that I'll be moving to London.

I hope you have an amazing time and I hope the group you are with isn't as catty and full of assholes like mine was. I loved the trip, just not the people I was with

Edited for spelling.

Lucky! I've never been to Japan but I really want to go. I'm going next summer but I can't wait that long. :P

The most exciting place I've been recently was a end-of-the-year class field trip to FL for 5 days. It was pretty fun, especially since the bitches in my class and my ex didn't go.

Hehe, that's precisely the truh Cheesygrins! The grass is always greener. I bet Possum would agree with me when I say people do get doey eyed when someone here says they have been to America. It always sounds so impressive lol.

And where I will be heading it is just going to be England but with less rain and more Starbucks. One day I will be living in Vermont though :D

Now bed. It is 4am afterall :P

I went on a People to People trip a few years ago, but it was to England and France. If yours goes anything like mine did, it'll be hectic, exhausting, and fun as hell. The only thing I didn't really like was that we couldn't spend much time at any one place. Some places (like the Louvre, or basically anywhere really massive and important) you need more than an hour or two to really appreciate. On the whole the trip was definitely worth it though.

I'm going to Poland in 9 days, followed by a trip to Romania, Ukraine, and Bulgaria and I'll be returning on the 24th of August where I'll rest 4 days then embark on a small trip to New York for a dance competition. I personally love traveling but packing is a pain. Ugh all that packing and unpacking... Yayz. >:l

Oh and have fun! :]
