I'm gonna write this undisclosed thing, and in it one of the characters - Jonah, for the curious - is partially blind. So I need to make it realistic. Does anyone know if there is a type of blindness in which you can notice light differences, but nothing else? Basically he lives on the street and he needs a realistic condition while still being impaired. Like, so bad he can't read, with glasses or anything.
i'm sure there are various types of blindness. i recommend a google search.

Yeah, there are varying degrees of blindness. If you're seeking only partial blindness, some sort of cornea damage would probably do the trick. As suggested, use google.
i can only speak from half blind experience..and that's having only one working eye and the other needs lenses to see from more than a foot away.
means you can't see in the dark, pretty much at all.
if you have to wear glasses, try taking them off and going for a stroll downtown sometime.
I tried a google/wiki kind of thing, but I'm never sure how to ask the question. I learned all about the conditions of blindness (cataracts and the such) but none that fit it, so I was just wondering if someone had some offhand knowledge. Y'know, cause everyone has that. XD
Ah, in that there may be promise. Thank you very much. :D
