Acrylic/Gel Nails

On the 21st I'm getting a full set of Acrylic/Gel (whatever you want to call them xD) nails, but I'm not sure what to get for the design on them.
I was thinking of maybe zebra print tips, with a purple stripe before the zebra print starts. Any ideas CC? What do you guys have for your nails? :)
Omg that sounds reallyreally cool. I love getting funky designs and stuff. I had the zebra tip, but I did a light pink top. At the salon, they'll have a huge book/display of interesting patterns and designs they can do, so you could look at those for inspiration too. :P
I always have acrylic nails in, because I bite my nails and they look like shit if I don't. Not to mention that even if, by some miracle, they did grow out- they'd still break off and look disgusting anyways.

Hmm, I've never had acrylic nails before, but zebra stripes seem pretty rad.
Not to boast, but I have what people consider 'perfect nails'; they're hard, don't break, and grow fairly long and well-shaped. So I'd never do acrylic for fear of ruining them.
I do paint them all variety of crazy colors, though. :D
You mean pink at the tip after the zebra print?
Isn't that bad or anything though? I'm kinda worried about my nails being very delicate after, I've never had this done before. My work doesn't really allow them, or let alone nail polish, but girls still do it anyways, and it was a gift for me at a salon so I thought I'd get it done.
Do you know if like, say I wanted to get some filled in because they broke or whatever, would I have to go back to the same place I got them done or can I go anywhere? The reason is because for a full gel set its $75 :x and getting them filled is $45, and I know some other places are cheaper.
Ah that sounds pretty! I'll see what they have in their book like Ana said ^_^. Maybe they'll have some sort of design like that.
Luck you! My nails take a while to grow, and I hate them. They don't break easily, but there a pain in the ass when they grow really uneven.
Just to let you know, there's a difference between gel and acrylics. I would recommend acrylics.
But I usually get short french tip with a silver line and on occasion I get little jewels in the corner that look like diamonds :)
More power to you. I'm not very conscious about my nails, so I break them a lot. Acrylic nails would be a disaster for me.
I usually just paint them a solid color or leave them bare. My friend's mother gave me a french manicure once, which I loved, but I don't have the patience or the steady hand for that.
Hypothetically speaking, if I were to get acrylic nails, I probably would just get the french manicured tips with nothing else. They're classic.
Go for whatever print you want. If you're not completely sold on the zebra print plus purple, you could probably find some ideas by googling acrylic nails.

I just realized that xD I'm going to a place called "Talons" they only do gel nails though.
Mhmhm my nails aren't fake/gel i let them grow a small bit and they are purple right now x] and sounds cool i would make zebra tips olny.

I have really nice nails that I grow out quite long then my boyfriend paints them for me. We haven't tried designs yet, but he does give me white tips/french manicure and I love it. My nails don't break that easily or anything, so I can keep them for a long time. I had long nails for like 6 months till I smashed my nail against my boyfriends arm and it bent and broke in the actual nail bed of mine, ouch. );
