Okay, so there is something weird with my tablet. Whenever I draw a line in oekaki with JTablet pren pressure turned on, instead of getting clean, weighted lines I get this:
It's like.. different lines of different weights stacked on top of each other? :<
Also, when I turn the pen pressure off and I draw, for example, a circle, the lines are angular like this, although it's not as bad. [This problem also occurs when I use Photoshop 7]
I use a Wacom Intuos3 with Vista, but I tried using it in XP and the same problems showed up. I've tried every possible solution I could find so far: reinstalling Java/JTablet/tablet driver, turning off the Vista Tablet PC options/press-and-hold/handwriting recognition/pen flicks, but so far the problem still persists. This is the first time a problem like this has occurred to me. The last time I used oekaki [which was months ago], the lines I drew were incredibly smooth and free of bumps and unwanted angles.
If anyone can give me the slightest idea or suggestion to what I should do to fix this, it would be immensely appreciated ; ;
Maybe you should check your brush settings? I had that angular problem with the lines in PS 7 because I didn't check the smoothing box in brush presets. Not sure if it can be applied to oedaki though :/
Wow the problem in the web client may be the client itself not your tablet. You could try reinstalling your drivers although I'm not sure how much help that'd be...
Sien - ah, I should've mentioned this in the first post: I do have smoothing turned on in PS7, but it still gives me angular lines..
Collage - I've reinstalled the drivers multiple times and the problem still persists both in the oekaki and PS7 in Vista AND XP, so this made me think that perhaps the problem may be in the tablet itself. I'll try reinstalling it again though.
