Okay, I reinstalled Windows XP a few weeks back and everything had been fine up until a week ago.

My stupid fucking Adobe crap kept popping up, saying it needed updated. Fine. No harm, right? Yeah. Right.

When I restarted my computer like it asked, it wouldn't start up or do anything other than giving me this message:

NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

So I do that. What do I get? The same fucking thing Over and over and over and over

Until I get so sick of it that I kick my computer, turn it off, and don't touch it for a few days.

Now I really wanna change my HA, and I can't because I save them every time I make one and the save files are on the computer that won't do shit.

My computer won't even start up, and when I go to other sites to find out what's wrong, they give me 'ookai so u go 2 dis syt n u instal dis progrm and taaadaaa ur comp is fixed.'

Yeah, that would be fucking fabulous IF I COULD GET IT TO DO SOMETHING.

Ooooh, uhm... Well, I'm not computer geek like my step dad but when the same thing happened to me, he just wiped my whole computer's memory. Sucked to reupload everything, but it worked. You might want to get someone else's advice before taking mine, though. :c

Well, I just wiped it out not even a month ago. If I have to go through all that crap again, I'll probably explode.

Get a Hiren's boot cd and see if that can help you diagnose it, it's got all sorts of nifty tools and things... and it might give you a way to save some data, too.

I'd get the latest, 9.9 or 9.8 have the most up to date tools and whatnots. I'm just double checking w/ my real pro friends to see which they prefer... but as is the nature of IRC ... it's silent all of a sudden ;)

I have been lucky that I haven't been in a situation that a Hirens would come in handy, but my boss ALWAYS has his when he goes out to clients. Except he's on vacation or I'd have had an answer already, hehe.

I don't mind, really.

Blank CD == CDR or CDRW blank writable or rewritable CD (You know, like maxell or verbatim or sony blank ones that come in packs) I prefer verbatim, myself.

Nero is a burning tool in Windows that can burn CD's and .iso images, which .... well gets complicated so give me a minute to google :)

- You install nero and burn the cd on another computer, then stick it into the affected one and HOPEFULLY the CD section will boot and .... there should be options and things... argl I'm not good at explaining this very well but ....

if you know how to use torrents you can get it from isohunt *Mods, this is a freely distributed liveCD tool, just FYI *

It looks like the main site is down for whatever reason, could be maintenance, could be other things. If you can't do torrents, I MAY be able to get it and post it on a server I have access to somewhere for you.

HAHA Are you kidding? I practically live on torrents lol :( That's how I got some of the files to repair my computer after wiping it out XD

That's pretty much it. Boot it up if your HD is set to boot from cdrom (You may have to change this in your bios, I don't remember, can you at LEAST get to your bios before the system shits itself ? ) and read and pick and see what it says.
