Do larger denominations of wizard tokens actually sell for a larger price per token than the smaller ones? I've noticed that the price for 1, 2, 5, and 10 usually hovers around 2,000 per token, but it gets much more expensive with larger denominations. Do larger denominations sell for more, or are there just fewer of them being bought and sold so it appears they're more valuable?

This forum is really for asking for prices on items that arent available or priced in shops/trades.

You can work out if they sell for more, take the price of a 1k wiz token, and divide it by the denomonation of the other tokens, to see if it works out better to sell as large or smaller tokens.

The short answer is: yes. They do sell for more.

I doubt there is a particular reason, and no, a larger denomination isn't technically worth more, since you could combine so many of your smaller ones into a 500pt ect.

I think the real factor is time. It takes ages to do Wiz quests and gather enough tokens from him to make one 500 or 1000pt token. A person doesn't want to spend an entire day or do however many quests it takes to get that many tokens, plus quests can cost a lot - sometimes more combined than what they might pay if they just bought one in trades.

Personally, I hate doing quests, but I love to vend. So, if I can afford it, I just buy large tokens.

it depends on the market. the current lowest price for a 1pt token in shop search is 3k. 3k x 1000 = 3mil...but the lowest 1k token is a good 800k less, so it really all just depends. you couldn't find a thousand 1pt tokens at 3k (or less) even if you wanted to, most likely. generally speaking (as in not right at this very moment), i think higher denominations do cost more per token because of 's reason; time. it's a lot easier to buy a token than it is to do quests, even if you usually don't end up getting the full amount you paid for said token back unless you strike gold in a vending machine...which you potentially can. it really only takes two tokens to make millions.

Hm. Moving this to general discussion, since it doesn't really fit here. :)

That is so true. One lucky vend can net a huuuuuuuge profit.

I value all tokens at the same rate, but the large tokens often go higher because you have to combine a lot of small ones to make and they are more convenient.

When token shop rses and things like that, people usually buy high-denomination tokens to quickly get the item before it runs out, causing a bit of inflation usually :)

It makes sense for higher denominations to be a little more pricey, as it takes less time to purchase a certain amount.

Like others said bigger point tokens cost more because they can be more simple to acquire a large ammount of points that way. ^_^
