I think I might have the shittiest router ever. If I turn my ceiling fan on, the connection is lost. The router is about... oh... 15 feet away from my PC. (I'm on my Macbook from Hell because I'm so desperate. Fucking lemon.) I think the reason I get such a bad signal is because the laundry room is across the hall from my bedroom door. Y'know, a bulky washer and dryer set... maybe it's messing with the signal strength?

Anyone else having strange problems with wireless routers?

no, but my wifi connection can be an ass sometimes. basically i feed off two different connections (the only ones open for me) and thats how i get my internet. sometimes the one craps out and i have to use the other, but the other one only works sometimes...when it does work it's way faster and i can get it throughout the whole house. i dunno why it only works sometimes. :I

lol, you know that ''lemon'' has more than one meaning, right?

  1. citrus fruit
  2. (slang) A defective or inadequate item. (wiktionary FTW) The slang term is primarily used for crappy cars. My Macbook has been to the Apple Store too many times in the last 3 years. (I got it June 2006, 2 months later, my hard drive killed itself. I lost EVERYTHING. I didn't think it was necessary to get a backup hard drive that soon. Oops. Ever since then, there's always been something wrong with it. It's ridiculous. And now that the warranty has expired... I'm screwed. No more free repairs.)

But I won't mention it. Thats... crappy. D:

My router usually works just fine, no matter where I am in the house, but sometimes it just craps out for now reason. Sometimes it'll only be out for a minute or two, other times it's for hours. D:

Sounds like you have a pretty shitty router though. I'm not an expert or anything, but turning on a fan shouldn't disrupt the connection. Look into getting a new one?

Okay, the internet decided to cooperate, so now I'm running both the Mac AND the PC at the same time. Multitasking FTW!

...and I'm sure the internet is going to crap out again at any given moment. I might as well put my Macbook in my car and go to the college to get their wifi. I'm sure it's on 24/7. It's only 10:57 here in California. lol

Ugh my wifi connection bites. The router is literally right next to me, and it's always just in and out...bleh. technology.

The router is right next to my mom's PC (like, 11 inches away!) and she's not getting a signal. This thing is a piece of crap. I'm surprised our hot and amazingly smart techie hasn't told us that we should have gone with another one. (this guy is married, he's not my boyfriend, he's a friend of my mom's from work.)
