Why people have a need to bump up old boards? For example let's say that board was made on July 7th and is on page 4. And on July 21st you see that board on the front page, 'cause simply some person was digging for a thread. /: I understand that forums are slow atm and there isn't that much active topics, but is it necessary to go hundred pages back to just make your post count bigger? I also understand that a lot of people don't check the dates, but if it's on the bottom of the page or not on the front page, then it's old. Right?

It's just irritating imo. :x

Haha sometimes people (especially newbies who don't realise it's against the rules/that subeta holds such old boards) who use the search feature just reply to boards they dig up through search xD

I'm not much of a Subeta forum user but this annoys me as well when I'm just lurking around reading. A couple times I've ended up half way through a thread only to realize that I'd already read it previously. It's really quite annoying.

I really don't see why someone would search to post in something unless it's a question or something of the sort. The reviving dead topics that Bag is speaking about I think pertains mainly to people who are obviously looking to beef up that post count for varying reasons.

That really annoys me especially when someone has dragged topics back from the Dead,I mean ones that are nearly 2 months old.

well, it's only against the rules if the thread is over three months old (i'm pretty sure it's three), so i don't think it can be helped. i hate seeing them around though. unnecessarily bumped threads! especially when the post that bumped it says nothing but "'grats". i mean, seriously? fucking seriously?

Oh, and those too where people post "thanks for the previews" on the HA boards. I just saw 2 boards like this in the HA forums. /:

And sometimes it isn't the search feature. Half of the members didn't even know that we have a search feature until they saw a board about that. :D

"thanks for the previews" I never post it, but it's nice that people post previous? especially if subetahq doesn't have them yet but i agree with you on the issue of bringing OLD boards back to life. no point at all :c

Nono, I meant the one where people post that on threads that have been made weeks even months ago.

Now what really bothers me is people reviving threads that have been dead for months, a week or 2 is still tolerable for me as long as one has something meaningful to add to it.

I've seen year old threads necroed. It is incredibly stupid.

Particularly when the boards're more than four months old. In a relatively highly-trafficked area. Which means they went back twelve pages of old posts to find one to post on.

...forums search feature wat?

^ This.

It's quite annoying, I agree sometimes it's better to let them be. Any good Mini-mod would notice and would lock the topic right away, saying not to necro threads and that if they want to talk about it, they can make a new topic.

I agree, newbies trying to get more posts :/ I have never seen a thread that was months old, but I have seen them when they are a couple weeks old, have maybe 4 posts and someone decides to make a one word post.

This is annoying mostly in Art Market, but then they usually get locked.

Anyways I totally agree with you on this!
