Is it really that great? Ive heard of all sorts of people getting withdrawl symptoms from it, for example: this kid. If I became that obsessed, I would just up and quit (did that with Neo xD) but I guess its not as easy for some people.
So CC, I ask you, do you play WoW? Are you addicted? How much would you have to be payed to quit?
(If this is in the wrong forum, move please.)

Fuck no I don't play that piece of shit game!
My family and friends all do :(. I played EQ and EQ2 for years. Right now I am off any MMORPGs for school and work it is hella lame.
But yeah, nope don't play it. Everquest or 'Evercrack' I played alot, addicted you could say, but it was fun none the less.
Wow, that is freakin HILARIOUS.
My supervisor at OC plays WoW and he met his gf on there and she moved to Wisconsin from Cali to be with him.
I guess it can be verrrryyy addicting. :o
My brother plays that. It's basically his life but oh well, Subeta is basically my life.
But if I lose sP or something, I don't attack my computer screen like my brother does. :(
hahaha hell no, that video is proof that the game can ruin lives xD or make you insane
I haven't played the game, but I did hear stories about how addicting it can be. O_O I have a free trial CD somewhere in here, and I'm tempted to try it out, but my sister says it isn't all that fun.
The scary thing is, I don't think it's that easy for them to just get up and walk away like that. Believe it or not, gaming is an actual... Well, addiction. They even have groups for it. I remember there was an Intervention episode about that, actually. So for some reason, it's harder for them than the average person who claims they're addicted to something, but really aren't.
Of course, it may not seem as severe as alcoholism or drug addicts or anything along those lines, as those can slowly kill, but still... It's an addiction, nonetheless. Kind of creepy.
... But am I the only one who thinks that video looks kind of fake? xD
Yeah I agree . The video is DEF fake.
I almost want to try WoW just cause so many people seem to think it's so great. But I have heard of it ruining lives. Breaking up relationships..friendships. I don't see how you could be that addicted to a GAME
I feel kinda sorry for the guy. :(
I don't, but I caught my band teacher playing it on the school's laptop once.
No. I don't see why people like it a lot.
I don't know if the video was fake or not, but it was pretty funny.

LOOOOOOL That video made my day. Especially when he tried shoving the remote up his butt. xDD
I don't play WoW, and I don't ever intend to.
That video is a well acknowledged fake. :b
But yes, gaming addiction can be bad. My mom had a serious problem with WoW for a while, she still would were it not for her nearly losing her job over it.
I play occasionally, used to be a lot more when I didn't really know anyone around here, but I wouldn't say I'm addicted. If I can't afford it that month, I don't get it. Other things take priority.
I don't think I could play that game very well. I'd just be laughing at all the ogres and gnomes and whatever.
I'm never playing that game and the South Park episode about it pretty much sealed that deal. :P
That video is so fake.
That video...it's awful. I almost started crying 'cos I felt so sorry for that guy. It amazes me that people actually get their kicks out of doing this sort of thing.
I think the one who filmed and posted that video is far far worse than the kid who flipped out. The boy obviously couldn't control his emotions. I'm sure that, if he could think rationally, he would have. However, the other kid was well aware of what he was doing and the distress it could cause. I'm quite appauled by it. But whatever. This sort of thing will always happen. It's still sickening though.
Anyway, I haven't played WoW and nor do I want to. I can get super addicted to things and quite frankly I'm already wasting enough of my time by being here XD
I play WoW, and no I'm not addicted (: I don't get all antsy if I don't play, actually I go 2 weeks or so at a time without playing. I get bored very easily, so I play for 2 weeks, quit for 2 weeks, and so on. I've never met anyone who played that was addicted - but I've heard stories of people who 'were' addicted and became 'unaddicted'. So meh.
I did meet a couple who met on WoW and ended up getting married, they've been together since the first game came out (: They're really nice too, very not-insane. ^_^
I played for about a month. I didn't get addicted, I got bored out of my mind.
About the video: As he was bouncing on the bed in his boxers I thought of Juno and the "pork swords" scene... XD
I love it, I play it all the time. x)
If you're in to that type of thing, it's the most horribly addicting substance you'll ever get your hands on. If you're not an RPG type person, it's boring and weird. :D
I know I must've been an unbelievable recluse before I got a character to the max level. "So close to 45.... but 45 is almost 55... THAT'S PRACTICALLY 65... NO SLEEEEEEEP TIL 75..."
It's much easier to play casually after that first horrible stretch to 80. x)
Edit: And that video is fake, they did admit to it. Very lulzy anyway. xD
