Around June this year. I'm sorry about your pet name. However, this was rather an improvement. Before this was implemented, inactive accounts would be completely deleted.
Mhmm, I understand how this is better than the alternative. I didn't get a warning or anything that I can find, though.
The pet is in the shelter now if you would like the name back here that is pretty unfortunate :/
I'm about to send you a friend request. I found him in the adoption center a second ago and picked him up so no one would snag him.
Once you accept, I'll send Matias back at you :)
As I don't follow the issue closely, I have no idea if an email warning was supposed to be sent. I hope somebody can answer that for you. [edit] Glad to hear about the news brought.
Pretty sure that the site sends you an email warning, along with newsletters to remind you of the site. A year is a pretty good chuck of time to log back into your account.

-- I did receive an email that said "Subeta Update". It had information about what has changed since I've last logged on a few months ago, but nothing about changing my pet's name. I also logged in from the link in that newsletter at the time.
No problem! I'm glad to have seen him floating around. I honestly got curious about who owned him after seeing your thread and was pretty shocked to see him in the adopt-r-us.
There should be an email, yes XD . I'll check to see if it's working.
