please please please thanks! I know it's only an extra click to the last page but the firs tpage is going to have 40 posts and that can be trouble to load.

I like this idea as well. Especially on image-heavy forum pages that can be a pain to load. Maybe clicking on the date above where it says the last poster could take you to the last page?
