Absolutly no idea where I would put this.. I've got a new laptop and it wont let me play DVD's.. whenever I try it comes up with

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a compatible DVD reader is not installed on your computer."

I've tried downloading a couple things that sites have said would work but still nothing...

Anyone have any idea what's wrong with my silly computer?

Is the dvd the right zone for your computer? Or, have you tried VLC-player? Just throwing out suggestions since I have little clue, really.

HERE is a guide to finding out if you actually have a dvd reader on your computer (yours might just be broken.)

If you don't, then I wouldn't know what to do since you already tried downloading some :(

It may be that Windows needs to be reinstalled due to Windows Media Player parts being gone, or virused.
