My pet Korokan doesn't appear in the list of pets to choose from when I want to challenge an opponent - Korokan is Bloated and very happy - I also clicked "get unstuck from battle" several times to make sure that this isn't the fault.

What could be the reason for this?

If you clicked on the link to challenge deathly harbinger, you get this problem.

Just go to your pet page and unequip/reequip one of your weapons and you should be fine. :)

It still doesn't work - I reequiped my whole battleset and nothing changed - the strange thing is that all my other pets are available

I have this problem for some time now, I don't think it has something to do with the deathly harbringer

send it a ticket. they usually get that sorted out pretty quick
