What's the best amount to spend in his quest?

I only ever do the quests where he asks for "rare" items. This means that it's possible to get a rare item (as he returns upto 5 rarity points higher or lower than what you gave him) and therefore Subeutique! The sp's crap, so it's the only way I can see to profit.

I stay under 5,000sp on his quests. Today, for example, I made just under 100,000 pure sp and got a couple of rare items.

The highest i spend is 40K in his quests. >.<

- I never used to do that well and gave up on Pete. I started doing him again to get the achievement, and found out that lately (IMO) he's been giving out more sp and better quality items.
