Why don't my pets ever do the amount of damage listed? For example, on the bottom of my opponent it will say that I did 40 something damage, but his health only went down 23 points. I checked, but it didn't seem like he was using a healing item either.

Can anyone help me with this?

The opponent blocked like- 3 icons, it wasn't a lot.

(One icon should be one point of damage right ?)

Have you checked to make sure your battle pet is happy and fed?

If your pet is starving or unhappy, that will effect how much damage you deal. A starving pet does half the damage, or something like that.
