The cheapest in the shops is 1,139,999 sP. He's easily given me that much in reward money so far, so I could get it, but what will the next level bring? I'm worried that it's not worth it and it would be better if I just start over...

If you're looking to go all the way with item hunt, that would be a reasonable item to give Chase at that level. However, if you're just looking for profit it was time to start over anyway.

I know I've spent millions and then lost b/c I didn't have enough anyway. I'd love to finish item hunt but not sure if it's in my future.

if your lucky like me, after this high-priced item he might give you super cheap items. I spent 90,000 sP on an item and the next fifteen he's asking for 5,000 sP - 20,000 sP items. XD So worth it. Give it a chance and take the risk.
