I did let my pets play with and did not get the achievement. What am I doing wrong?

Is the item still in your inventory? If so, that means your pets are too happy and won't play with any toys at the moment, so you won't be able to get the achievement now.

Well, not really break, but it just dissapears if your pet indeed plays with it :)
