Does having 1000 humming power crystals in the fragmentizer mean in the crystal bank or spending 1000 crystals at once?

i'm pretty sure it means having 1000 crystals in the bank.

other than having 1,000 and 5,000 of those, are there more tiers higher than this? like having 10,000 or more? i sure hope not!

This thread has all the acheivement tiers, and it's updated pretty regularly so no, I don't think so.

my 5k achievement is grayed out but says like 8,000/5,000 or something like that

5000 is the top tier

I have over 100 crystals in the bank, but I'm still showing 0 on my achievement. How do I get the count started?

It starts to work once you get the 1000 chrystal achievement. Well, at least that's when the count started to work for me.
