I had food in my mouth and I had to burp so it just kinda came out my nose. It was really disgusting and it surprised me to death.

It's not particularly strange...if anything it just makes sense. Since the mouth and nose are connected via your esophagus/windpipe air can easily pass through your nose if its way to your mouth is blocked. I think.
