I entered the wrong pet into battle on accident and it got me wondering; does a forfeit count as a loss, a tie or what?

I'm pretty sure that it counts as a loss. If I recall my Illyen got dinged with a loss when I had to forfeit a battle that was deadlocked.

hmm I thought it didn't count as anything. I forfeited a battle and it never counted as a loss or anything.

It used to count as loss in the old BC, now it doesn't seem to register at all and as a bonus you come out fully healed! :)

little bonuses like that you should keep to yourself. it'll be changed now most likely. lol

How do you forfeit a fight anyway? I did the same thing (entered the wrong pet) the other day and couldn't figure out how to end it without dying, lol.

Go to the statistics page. If your pet is in battle you get the options to forfeit the fight or return to it.
