I noticed it says it's a tier 2 item. How does it work? Am I supposed to play with a pet? It's not giving a armory option or its stats.

If it's not giving an armory option, then my guess is that it wasn't properly activated as a weapon after the weapon revamp. You should probably make a post in the Problems & Bugs forum, or maybe the battle forum.
