What I mean is, can I keep using Magical Keepsake Boxes without a limit on one pet, or will I get some kind of a "Oh no! You can't make this pet's treasure chest any bigger." message at some point?

Not as far as I am aware... My pet that has the largest TC is Heiress with 799.. I am aware of some with larger TCs but off hand don't know the actual number..

Having large TCs though can create lag etc. when trying to load them for some users etc..

the Achievement used to stop at 100. More tiers have been added since.
