Is there a specific purpose for the Black Candy Bar?

I remember getting a Black Candy Bar just last week or so.

There are achievements for feeding them to your pet. "Feed 25/50/100/250 Black Candy Bars to your pet!"

got one yesterday. i feel like they are becoming less common to win during random though :(
