Your stepdad sounds like a real piece of work. Sorry to hear that, but on one hand, it's less likely he'll do something crazy as burning the house since he said so out loud rather than keeping it in his head. Then everyone would know who to blame. Sounds like the guy has difficulty owning up to his own actions though... getting married and living in a house with someone was a choice, not something he was forced into.

Yeah, he is. He has really bad attitude problems. It's like nothing's ever his own fault, and he doesn't realize he's responsible for his own life and happiness. And he's so obsessed with money, thinks everyone else is super rich and that winning the lottery would make him happy.
