If you have an extra pet slot (from the loyalty box) and you abandon that 11th pet, can you still adopt another or will that extra pet slot disappear?

The Pet Slot is permanent, it won't expire or something. However you'll need an active GA to fill the slot again after you abandoned a Pet. C:
