Has anyone else noticed that there is no longer an option to download your account under the User Dashboard? Where did it go?

what is that even supposed to mean

downloading your account hasn't really been in use since the time Subeta used to rollback accidently and the like. If they had to reintroduce the feature, it would be under Preferences>Paranoia>Account Download

Thanks for the information . It may seem paranoid, but if you ever have a situation like the one I did on Neopets with a ten year old account getting hacked to pieces you'd understand. Hopefully that never happens to you though. :) Glad to hear they're doing daily backups. Thanks again!

If it is any comfort I can tell you that the Download Function was broken for a lot of people for more than a year before it was taken down so in the end it's not a big loss I'd say. :)

Really? Good to know. I guess I'll just hang onto those old backups in case I ever need to prove my account is mine. Sounds like that's probably all they're good for at this point. :P

Yep, I've had a thread in the Bugs Forum concerning this issue and quite a few other users claimed that they'd have the same problem. Regardless which browser / computer I tried I always got an error message saying that I already downloaded my account recently...even if "recently" was a couple of months ago. :P

That would be a pain. I can see why they discontinued the feature. I'd rather have the site backup daily anyway then be responsible for it myself, and I was a far cry from daily backups. More like once every couple of weeks, and how much help is that really? :P
