So yeah, I got my new lenses for my glasses today. The floor looks so different! And I'm not quite sure I'm seeing okay. Well, I can see, I guess I'm not used to this calibration.
Anyone else got new glasses? Have you ever incorrectly bought certain lenses and endlessly had to get other ones? sigh I am hating this right now, the bottom of the screen is bigger than the top!

When I got my current glasses, things were bowed out and there was a rainbow hue around everything that I wasn't directly focused on. I had to get used to turning my head to see things minus that glow. XDD
Every single new pair of glasses I've ever gotten has given me headaches though. Nature of the beast.

I have to buy new contact lenses.
I lost one while out so I was wearing only one for a few hours. My prescription is -6 so... The difference between eyes was pretty big.
It was confusing and it made my brain hurt and yeah. Eyes. :'(
My lenses are all scratched up.. I really do need a new pair.. I should really get on it and get some new ones, aha.
That sounds awful. Are you that blind then? o.x

Not quite, I'm "visually disabled" in my left eye but not quite blind, thankfully.

It's nice to know you're not 😊

I have something called amblyopia and a rather severe form at that. My left eye crosses in but my vision in both eyes is fuzzy.

I had never heard of that term before. I suffer little hyperopia and a rather significant myopia.

It's more loosely called "lazy eye."
Eep, isn't that where your eyes kind of bow in or out?

Oh, so that is! Yeah, that's pretty common (I mean, not super common but it's not weird to see that) I just didn't know the term for that :)

i got glasses at the end of november. i must pay attention not to hit/scratch them. u,u difficult because i'm messy and my sunglasses are usually messed up >> my eyesight was pretty bad. it's gotten worse because of the computer's screen. I have myopia. and well, i could see, but was getting dizzy confused... now that i have glasses i feel much better. but i have what i look like with them on. i must keep them on. my eyes/brain dont let me stay without anymore. rarely and i feel bad. the place where i got them done gave me an extra pair of lenses. yay. and they did measure my eyes to see which lenses i need. luckily many places here offer the measurement/consultation for free if you buy glasses in their store.
[does any of this make sense? cant tell, im tired]
