I've been kicking around the idea of a perm for a while now, because I'm bored with my hair. It's straight and I'm having a problem with it thinning around the front because I always wear a ponytail/messy bun and it's just generally pissing me off all the time. I also wanted to do something special with it for some events that are coming up...Christmas concert with one choir tomorrow, singing at church Christmas eve and Christmas morning, singing at a nursing home the day after Christmas. I'm bollocks at doing my hair though...I like girly things and dressing up and being pretty and all that...I just fail at doing anything with my hair other than shoving it back like I do all the fricking time. So I made an appointment to get a spiral perm tomorrow. I've had one before, but I got a pretty tight one last time so this time I'm going to go a little looser (yes, yes, rofl, my mind's in the gutter too).
This is pretty much what I'm doing. The pic on the right is basically spot on what I want, but the pic on the left is more my skin/hair color, and the pic in the middle is the color it's going to be eventually, maybe in a few weeks, when I dye it, if I decide to do that.
So. What do you think? I hope I'm going to like this. I'm kind of freaking out. But I figured that if I get sick of the curls in a month or two or whenever, I can always buy a...uhh...straightening iron...or whatever the hell they're called and fix it that way.
I say go for it, I mean you make it sound like there's fairly little risk involved. Hell, I spontaneously got a sidecut a few months ago and I'm still happy with it, so you're probably gonna like it just fine. :)
Ohhhh. c: I say go for it.

Changes are always nice and I think the hairstyle will fit you very well :) Oh, I remember when my hair was purple and when it had Blue Lights and it was also teal on the front and now it just sad black. I have an obsession by image change so I'd say you should as well. Now that we're young. When we hit the 40's we'll be too old to mess around with our hair :D (if any left)
Just looking at the pictures I'd love to get my piercings and my hair dyed again :')

I agree, lol. I'm 30 and I already feel older than old. I got so many compliments on my hair when I went to church this morning though. This one girl in my choir was like 'Oh, I didn't know your hair was naturally curly!' She thought I just straightened it all the time. I told her it was a perm and she didn't believe me, lol.
