I've been wondering this for a while now and I need some help please!

Question:

Can potions [ie: 100HP Potion] only be used outside of battle or can they be used inside of battle? If they can it's either not working for me or I'm doing it wrong....

If you are talking about healing potions, they can only be used outside of battle. For example: 100hp healing potion
