Hey! So, I just returned to Subeta after a year of hiatus. I wanted to just chat with whoever may be awake at this time (It's 12:55 A.M. here!) and just talk about anything in the world.

I'm also in need of some friends on here! That'd be grand. :)

Well only a couple of hours late to the conversation, but maybe you are still awake (probably not, now that I think about it). It's good to see another person returning to subeta, I spent almost a year and a half away from this site a little while ago, its always nice to see what has changed on the site and to see my old pets again.

Also I'm fairly well at the moment, tired considering the day that I've had was pretty hectic, it'll be nice when Christmas is back in that past and life can come back to its nice peacefulness...Though I actually really like Christmas, it's just I don't really like crowds that much. Are you looking forward to Christmas?

Snow day for me today! I'm going to take advantage and use it to get some cleaning done around the apartment. I'm usually too tired when I get home at the end of the day.

Aha, I'm usually awake.. but working. I know-- it feels great to be back! I've missed my pets too, which I never thought I would. I put so much money and work into this account that I think it would be a waste to just abandon it. Plus, this place is fun. Oh god, I love Christmas but this is the first time I've worked in retail during Christmas. It's so craaaaazy! But lots of hours and money, ha ha. But yes I get christmas eve and day off, only work 4 hours on boxing day and have that friday off after. I wish! I have this Thursday off though. :)

My forth Christmas in retail this year. I work at a small shopping center though, so it isn't as bad as the bigger centers around. I always hear terrible stories about working in retail during Christmas (as well as thanksgiving, but I don't live in America so I don't pay much attention to them), but I've never had really any bad customers (just the usual grumps and so). I don't know about my hours for next week though, I find out on Friday, hopefully I won't have to work a split shift like last year.

Retail Christmas...Oh gods. I used to manage a retail store and I remember the Blackout Season (that's what we call it because NO ONE CAN TAKE A DAY OFF UNTIL MID JANUARY. Haha)

Maybe it isnt so bad if you work part time. I dont know. I just know that people got 100 times crazier and 100 times angrier. Haha

Yeah, I work in a place where we sell work wear, so it's pretty hectic. Some of the people are just down right rude, though. :{ Christmas shopping and people who need work wear for the rigs and other things are just.. not a good combination sometimes.

Yes, exactly! I just need money to pay for college loans and my phone and my master card. It's a big pain, but it's what needs to be done, aha.

Retail is stressful, but being broke is even more stressful, so you win some you lose some I guess. Where do you work?

I gotta start paying my student debt starting the end of January. Ugh, so not looking forward to it.

Its not fun. Just think of how awesome it will be to have it all paid off though. That is what helps me a little...Tiny tiny little bit...Hahaha

I do not miss retail Christmas. Though, I mostly worked in places that were pretty reasonable overall. And yes, college loans suck so so much.

Ha ha, it does. I mean, for this small loan it will take 7-8 years.. ugh. Seriously, though. What a pain.

They are reasonable at my store too. I mean, they've let me have off all the days that I've wanted off thus far, so I'm happy. The manager listens extremely well to her employers at her store.

In my experience, the manager really makes or breaks a job. If you have a nice, reasonable manager, retail isn't bad. As soon as you have a manager that sucks, the whole job sucks.
