Stupid fucking iPod just broke. Stupid fucking thing. Keeps trying to make me restore it and then says I can’t because the stupid fucking update server can’t be connected to or some shit. Now I can’t use it at all - it has no songs, it just keeps showing a dumbass ‘plug in’ screen. It’s a fucking brick.

Just after I downloaded the Podcast app and all the episodes of Welcome To Night Vale. Co-incidence? Maybe not.

It's an iPod Touch, about three years old. As far (heheh) as I can tell, it got grumpy at me because I hadn't updated it in the best part of a year - I have a radio-thing that charges it, so I don't plug into my laptop often - and so it needed a whole bunch of updates. So the updates were so much it went into full restore. Or something like that. I think it was also my university's internet blocking the download, since it was still not working when I disabled both of my firewalls.

I'm at home now so I'll have another go...

Please do.We have the same iPod and mine is fully function and happy ah ah. If it doesn't work,make a restore(I know it sucks but sometimes that's all it takes)
