No, no, no you got it all wrong. She's not dumb. She's just really so sweet and generous she's simply unable to believe that anyone could choose to spoil her fun every single year. She believes that Darkheart will see the light one year and not try to ruin it for all of us. If she puts in a security system then Darkheart can't ever choose to show his seasonal spirit (when he finally finds it).
