So I ordered a pizza and my order was completed 8:17pm They've always had this slogan: "If your order does not arrive in the next 30 minutes, it's free." So the pizza guy arrived 9:05pm. (Almost 50 minutes later) I told him "Free, right?" And he was like sigh "Sure, call to the Pizza so they know" And I was like "Alright, would you mind giving me the number?" And he "###-####-###" So I called but nobody answer so after a few minutes he was like "Just take it. Your number is -shows number- they'll call you so they know I didn't steal the pizza" And I was like "Sure, thanks."

tl;dr

So. FREE PIZZA because it arrived late and I didn't pay the guy as it must be but I somehow feel bad about it....

Have anything like this happened to you? I was going to pay him either way but I took it so far that at the end I prefered not giving him the money and if someone comes back I'll give them the cash.

I wonder what drivers get paid, like, are they like a waitress where they make their income via tips or do they get at least minimum wage? Ive never been in that situation so im not sure what i would of done

I am sure they get paid minimum wage and people rarely tip them. I was in my right to get it for free, he shouldn't have problems since it's the company's biggest slogan (which they've been carrying for years). I've heard of people waiting for too long and had to pay anyway because the pizza guy's wouldn't leave the pizza for free. I gave it a try and bump, free pizza. I really hope they don't charge it to him, he was really nice and working on Sunday isn't good either.

That's insane! I also hope he doesn't lose money for it. I'm guessing the pizza place checks if he was the one who took too long to deliver or the kitchen that stalled to prepare your order :c

Sometimes when they want to leave it for free they say something like "the time is from the order taking to the pizza finished, the time it takes to get to your house doesn't count" but I'm sure he didn't take 20 minutes to get to my house being the pizza place so close...

Oh, mushrooms, olives, onion, italian sausage, meat, pepper.... and you know ;) the border stuffed with chesee. I shared some with my sister and my mom is still not talking to me but I don't want to care about that anymore.

Just give her time. Talk it out when she's less pissed about the whole thing. Don't beat yourself up about it, you know? Moms have that predisposition for forgiving us when we least expect them to.

Oh, I like coconut water!! It's delicious. I am not a fan of juice tho but love tea and coffee 24/7.

I work in the Pizza business not as a driver but a cook. Been there six years. At my place, we stopped the Thirty minutes cause drivers(not in our store) were speeding, getting in wrecks, and the like. Also, not sure what it's like in other states, but here their paid tips and minimum wage(varies)

Mexico. Totally minimum wage. Speeding doesn't sound right. I see why they took it away.
