Why do toys that your pet play with get "consumed"?

Food, of course Books, because they have more uses and to keep their worth...

But toys? why? Kinda weird .-.

This might not help, but I always assumed our pets broke them. If they don't "breaK', then you could keep one toy forever, and none of them, even the rare ones, would be worth anything.

my own take it's like a game cartridge.. Been there, played that, nobody he knows needs to play it 'cause they've done it themselves and by golly they want a new one not a used one. So it gets broken, negelected and lost, thrown away, or given to the cute girl pet down the street.
