I've been gone for a few months, and I have no idea what's going on... I know about these events but can someone please summarize what's going on? Main questions Are there new strains of viruses? What is SAI doing? Can I still get infected? When is this due to end?

not sure about that; I haven't heard anything to the contrary, but just to be safe I'd wait out the SAI infection.
