We're talking about political parties in civics, and for homework we have to get people's opinions and views on each party.

Well my parents don't seem to give a banana about the government, so I'd like to ask you guys.

I'm American, so it's about U.S. govt. Obviously, haha.

In your opinion, what does the Democratic party stand for? What does the Republican party stand for?

oooh I'm in ap gov and we were doing this sort of thing.

Democratic party- stands for more social services and higher taxes (i think)

Republican- smaller government, less social services, lower taxes (still not sure about the taxes part srry)
