I have the map pieces for access to the Omen Islands. Where to I go first to get the access?

Me again :) I am enjoying the Omen Islands but discovered I am not an islander...what does that mean? How do I become an islander?

Islanders and Pirates were part of an old plot. You can no longer choose a side or become an Islander or Pirate.
